Dan Derman’s career path has taken him through Higher Education Administration, Small Business Ownership in Property Management, and Corporate Management at a Fortune 10 company. Yet, he finds his most fulfilling work in Real Estate. Dan is passionate about guiding clients through the often daunting process of buying or selling their homes. With his keen listening skills and attention to detail, he ensures that nothing slips through the cracks.
Recently, Dan and his wife, Tonya, built their dream home in Estes Park, where Dan oversaw the entire construction process. They also own a Downtown Loft that they rent out via Airbnb, giving him firsthand knowledge of the local market, renovation, and income property management. Originally from North Dakota, Dan and Tonya have called Colorado home for 11 years. They love hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, enjoying daily walks in the beautiful Colorado landscape, and spending time with their three grown children whenever they can. They are active members of the Community Rec Center and appreciate its offerings, especially during the winter months.

Chris brings over 20 years of experience working with families and individuals to The Thompson Group. For much of his career, he served as a Presbyterian Pastor in congregations across St. Louis, Milwaukee, and most recently at Presbyterian Community Church of the Rockies in Estes Park. For the past two years, Chris has also worked as a real estate advisor in Boulder County and Estes Park.
Throughout his journey, whether as a pastor or realtor, Chris has guided people through a variety of life transitions, including graduations, weddings, births, relocations, retirements, and the loss of loved ones. He understands the importance of being a good listener and strives to meet the needs of others while maintaining a professional presence marked by clarity, perspective, and guidance.
In his free time, Chris enjoys exploring the great outdoors of Colorado with his family. When he’s not engaging with friends in real estate, you can find him skiing with his daughter, playing golf with his son, or hiking the beautiful trails of Larimer County with his wife, Rita. He also has a lifelong passion for horseback riding and volunteers at Rocky Mountain Riding Therapy.
